Pure Organic Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils -
The meaning of Pure Organic Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils:
Many people have asked me what is the difference between Aromatic Oils, Essential Oils, Aromatherapy Oils and Pure Organic Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. No wonder everyone wants to know, because TV commercials and Beauty magazines are promoting aroma-candles, aroma-sprays and other kinds of aromatic products. Many stores sell essential oils and essential oil products, but not many companies mention that their product is made with pure organic therapeutic grade essential oil.
Almost always Aromatic Oils are made of synthetic substances and artificial fragrances, which were chemically attained. They will most likely do more damage to our respiratory health and put us at risk of developing allergic reaction, then do any good. This goes for all “aromatic” products out there – candles, incense sticks, perfumes, commercial air-fresheners etc…unless their label states that they contain only pure essential oils.
Unfortunately even Essential Oils or Aromatherapy Oils can be adulterated sometimes, in order to reduce the cost of the product and increase profit for their manufacturers. So beware if someone wants to sell you Essential Oils/Aromatherapy Oils or its’ products at a very low price. Pure Essential Oils do no cost cheap.
When we talk about Pure Organic Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils it means that these oils were made with organic herbal plant parts, hot water steam and nothing else. Obviously, when you see a label of a product, which says Ocean Mist Scent or Evening Breath very unlikely, this has been extracted from a plant, tree or herb. So put it back on the store shelf and walk away.
Pure Organic Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils will be available through companies who are deeply involved with Aromatherapy and hopefully have a qualified and certified aromatherapist on stuff.

Aromatherapy
is the art of using oils extracted from aromatic and medicinal plants to enhance our health and beauty. Apart from the physical benefits, essential oils can have subtle effects on the mind and emotions.
Essential oils are very concentrated and are extracted by distillation from flowers, herbs, spices, roots, leaves and stems of plants. Every essential oil is considered to carry the energy and the character of that particular plant. Thus, they can help us balance our body, spirit and mind.
On a physical level, essential oils are known as the "blood of the plant" and their role is similar to our blood. Just like the blood in our body, they carry oxygen and nutrients into the cells of plants to keep them healthy, protecting them from bacteria, mold and insects. The use of Essential Oils has similar effect on the human system.
Essential oils will deliver better results when used by well trained aromatherapist who is able to look deeper into the needs of a client and to help to bring the body to balance on a holistic level. |
History of Essential Oils Aromatherapy has been practiced in many forms since the beginning of civilization. Scientists from around the world have discovered traces of the oils in the tombs of ancient Egyptians like King Menes in 3000 BCE and also in the tomb of Tutankhamun dating back to 1320 BCE.
Traces of oils like spikenard, cedar wood, cypress, frankincense, myrrh, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon have been found soaked in mummies' bandages. Most likely these oils were used for their antiseptic and antibacterial properties in helping preserve the bodies. In the case of royal families it was believed that the oils used to protect the embalming would help them arrive in the afterlife intact. In fact, embalming was very effective; fragments of intestine examined under the microscope reveal remarkable condition even after thousands of years.
Biblical times are also connected with the use of Essential Oils. Spikenard was the oil that Maria-Magdalena used on the feet of Jesus Christ before he was crucified. The ancient Egyptians were also using the oils for cosmetics, beauty, massage and healing purpose. Most of the time they would receive a bath treatment from bowls or vases full of flower petals and plant extract substances. Often, ladies would take a bath that was followed by massage with scented oil and aromatic ointment. These were applied into the skin by massaging the soles of their feet or the whole body.
Pure or synthetic oils?
When buying the oils always be sure that you are buying a pure and not a synthetic product.
Synthetic oils, even if chemically similar, will lack the true elements and the vital life-force that make Essential Oils so valuable therapeutically. Oils that have been derived synthetically may contain carcinogens and be dangerous to our health. Synthetic oils will never be able to replace natural essential oils. In order to benefit from Aromatherapy always use pure product. Thus, when buying Essential Oils refer to appropriate educational literature or consult with aromatherapy practitioner. |

Aromatherapy offers wide variety of ways to use Essential Oils: |
Massage
is one of the most effective methods of using the oils; it combines healing touch with therapeutic power of the oil. Skin absorbs the oils and carries its molecules into the blood stream where healing begins. |
Reflexology
is another powerful way to use essential oils as our feet have large pores and will absorb oils very quickly, carrying it to the organs that need the most help and balance.
Bathing is another very beneficial and pleasant method of using essential oils. Water alone has therapeutic power that will be enhanced by Essential Oils. The heat of the water helps absorption of the oils into the skin while we are inhaling the vapors of the oil. Add 3-4 drops of your favorite oil into the bathtub and soak for 15-20 minutes. Some spicy and stimulating oils should be avoided in the bath as they may cause mild skin or mucous membrane burn. Do not use undiluted oils in baths for babies and very young children. |
Diffusing & Vaporizing
is simple, safe and effective. Most of essential oils are easily evaporated and make perfect and environmentally friendly air fresheners. Different oils will create different atmospheres. For example, bergamot, jasmine or clary sage are great for parties; lavender, lemon eucalyptus and marjoram will help us to relax and fall asleep, while peppermint and basil will clear the mind when we need to concentrate and work. |

CAUTION: Most of the Essential Oils are safe if used carefully, but they are very concentrated and strong, so please read the instruction on the bottle and take special care when using oils on children and the elderly or if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, high blood pressure or extremely sensitive skin.
DO NOT take Essential Oils internally unless advised by a qualified aromatherapist and always dilute Essential Oils in carrier oil like almond, jojoba or grape seed before applying it directly on the skin. It is recommended to seek the advice of a trained Aromatherapy practitioner or to consult a book before using the oils.
DO NOT apply following oils to the skin before going out into the sun or using tanning beds: lemon, orange, bergamot, grapefruit, lemongrass, mandarin or tangerine.
Aromatherapy is NOT a substitute for medical care. |
