Essential Oils for Summer Season...

As you probably all noticed, our company Nature’s Lovers Inc is very much involved in aromatherapy and production of therapeutic essential oil blends for various health issues. We are proud to be a part of such a beautiful, natural and at the same time healing modality.

Aromatherapy offers its magical plant substances’ benefits for every season. So I thought, it would be interesting to talk about how essential oils can help us during the summer.

When I think of summer, the first thing that pops into my mind is the beach! Warm ocean, white sandy shores and lots of sunshine :) As friendly as that sun can be, we all need to take good care of protecting our skin while and after sunbathing. Sometimes we can get carried away and it results in sunburn...this experience can be very unpleasant for both adults and children.

It is very important to give our skin a chance to rest and rejuvenate after a day in the sun. Essential oils of Lavender, Chamomile and Tea Tree are ones of the most effective to relief sunburns and rejuvenate sun-tired skin. Lavender is known to be helpful with burns, Chamomile will sooth the pain and discomfort and Tea Tree will provide slightly cooling effect for maximum comfort.
The best way to use these oils is to mix them into Aloe Vera Gel base. At Nature's Lovers we only use pure Organic therapeutic grade essential oils and Organic aloe gel. We will be happy to ship you a jar or two of our Aloe After-Sun Care Gel to anywhere , anytime of the year :).

Other issue I’d like to address is TRAVEL. You and your family may be traveling this summer. Flying, driving, cruising, biking...and even though flu season is few months away, I believe it is always good to take preventive measures not to become ill during any trips. Anytime my family and I travel, we always take with us Immune Support anti-viral blend of essential oils - that includes Eucalyptus, Thyme, Lemon, Lavender and other anti-viral oils

Ohhh... and I almost forgot a "bonus" that comes with summer season, especially in places with increased humidity - MOSQUITOES! These guys can be nasty and greedy. And although there are many repellents sold in pharmacies and grocery stores, I am not a big fan of those products, because its' ingredients are very far from natural and I refuse to apply Mendeleev's periodic table on my skin.
At Nature’s Lovers we mix few mighty bug-repellent oils like Citronella, Thymus Vulgaris, Lemongrass and Eucalyptus Citriodora into Organic aloe lotion base and neither my family nor friends or clients suffer another minute from a single mosquito bite. It’s natural, it is Organic and it is good for your skin!

Please email us if you have any questions, we will be glad to hear from our readers.

Have a safe and wonderful summer!

Ask Vicky

Question MarkVicky, I have 2 dogs. What essential oils I could possibly add to their shampoo as a flea repellent?

Vicky: Good oils to repel fleas would be Citronella, Geranium, Thyme and Rosemary. Also you could make a spray with these oils in a 5%-7% percent dilution and spray it on your dog before she goes outside.

Question MarkWhat essential oils could I add to my shampoo at home in order to strengthen the roots and promote hair growth?

Vicky: Great oils to increase blood flow to scalp and therefore promote hair growth would be Rosemary, Peppermint, Cypress and Cedarwood. You can add 4-5 drops of each oil to your 16oz bottle. Although if you experience high-blood pressure do not add more 1-2 drops of Rosemary and Peppermint.
